VITRA

From Time, Light

Every form of matter carries within it the time of its own transformation. What we perceive today does not belong solely to the present; it is the result of a continuity in which every trace preserves the memory of what came before.

Vitra arises from the encounter between matter, time and light.

The works bring into dialogue the solidity of ruins with forms permeated by light, not to oppose the ancient and the contemporary, but to reveal the continuity that binds them together. Light does not erase time; it makes it visible once again, transforming matter into a presence that continues to tell its own story.

Space remains deliberately undefined. Released from fixed coordinates, each image invites the viewer to construct a personal perceptual dimension, allowing individual experience to complete the work.

From Time, Light. Just as the light of a star continues to reach us long after it belongs to the past, every form of matter continues to bear witness to the time from which it emerged. These images do not describe a separation between what was and what is; they reveal how the past continues to manifest itself in the present through light.

Rather than offering an answer, Vitra proposes a space for contemplation. If light makes visible what time has preserved, can beauty be the form through which Existence continues to reveal itself in matter?
