VIS VITALIS
The vital force within natural forms
Life does not necessarily coincide with the forms through which we recognise it. Before being identified as a flower, a plant or an organism, it may already be perceived as presence, energy and a tension towards existence.
Vis Vitalis begins by questioning this certainty.
Can life be perceived beyond the classifications through which we habitually define the natural world? Or do those very classifications limit what we are able to recognise?
The works gathered in this project do not seek to represent nature or celebrate its beauty. They invite the viewer to suspend familiar references and encounter each image as an expression of a vital force that precedes every definition.
Matter remains matter, yet it becomes transparent to the vitality that seems to inhabit it. The image no longer documents a natural form alone, but opens a space in which Life may be perceived as one of the manifestations through which Existence reveals itself.
Rather than offering an answer, Vis Vitalis leaves this question open. Every image becomes an invitation to reflect on whether life resides only in the forms we recognise, or whether it exceeds every category through which we attempt to define it.
