Matter and Existence
Matter is commonly perceived as something stable, measurable and recognisable. We rely on its visible form to identify the reality that surrounds us, often assuming that appearance faithfully reflects what something truly is.
Vis Materiae begins by questioning this certainty.
When matter transforms, fractures or expands beyond the forms through which we usually recognise it, does Existence also change? Or are we simply witnessing another way in which it becomes perceptible?
The works gathered in this project do not seek to construct imaginary worlds. They invite the viewer to encounter matter as a field of continuous transformation, where form is no longer a fixed condition but the beginning of a question. As familiar structures dissolve or reconfigure, perception is invited to move beyond appearance and reconsider what truly defines reality.
Matter is not immutable. It continuously changes, generating new configurations through which reality becomes perceptible. But does the transformation of matter necessarily imply a transformation of Existence? Or does Existence exceed every form through which matter, from time to time, reveals itself?
Rather than proposing an answer, Vis Materiae deliberately keeps this question open. Matter becomes the place through which Existence is explored. Each image becomes a space for reflection, inviting every viewer to confront their own understanding of matter, transformation and Existence.
