Existence is the force of life.
Vis arises from this possibility: that what we call life is not merely a biological condition, but one of the forms through which Existence manifests its energy.
The body becomes the temporary site of this manifestation. The force passes through it, alters its posture, charges its gestures, transforms its expression, and seems continually to push it beyond its own boundaries. Matter does not passively contain life: it is traversed by a tension that transforms it and through which Existence becomes perceptible.
Chromatic alterations, layering, and transformations of photographic matter are not formal effects, but instruments through which the image attempts to make this tension perceptible. Photography does not directly represent the force of life: it observes its eruption into matter and the movement through which it continually seeks to expand beyond the form that temporarily contains it.
Vis concludes the Life journey by returning the research to its most radical principle. If living means taking form, transforming, entering into relationships, and progressively becoming conscious of one's own Existence, at the origin of this process remains a force that no single manifestation can exhaust.
Life is matter traversed by Existence.
