SPIRITUS
Existence may not be exhausted by the matter through which it becomes visible.
Throughout the series, the human figure progressively loses its stability. Faces, bodies, and gestures cease to define individual identities and become places of transformation. Matter does not disappear; it reaches the limit of its ability to contain and define what appears through it.
The dissolution of the figure is therefore not a negation of the body, but a condition of inquiry. As form becomes unstable, another possibility emerges: that what makes a being present may not coincide entirely with its material manifestation.
Photography does not attempt to make the invisible visible. It inhabits the boundary where representation encounters its own limit. Each image remains suspended at this threshold, between matter and presence, allowing the visible to suggest what it cannot definitively reveal.
Spiritus does not affirm the existence of a reality beyond matter. It preserves the question.
What remains of being when its visible form is no longer sufficient to contain it?
