Spazio e tempo sono forze attive che animano la materia e scandiscono l’esistenza umana. Ogni vita si compie all’interno di queste dimensioni, che possono diventare limite o possibilità a seconda di come vengono vissute.
Le vestigia di Selinunte rappresentano uno spazio in cui il tempo ha trasformato le forme senza cancellarne i valori. I templi della Magna Grecia, pur immersi nel silenzio e nella solitudine, continuano a testimoniare una presenza vitale, carica di memoria, spiritualità ed esperienza umana.
Attraverso la fotografia ho cercato di trasportare questo luogo in una dimensione sospesa, oltre la linearità temporale, dando voce alle tracce invisibili di gioia, dolore, speranza e preghiera che lo abitano. Il tempo muta lo spazio, ma non i valori che esso custodisce: SPATIUM TEMPUS nasce da questa consapevolezza.
Project Statement
Space and time are active forces that animate matter and shape human existence. Every life unfolds within these dimensions, which can become limits or possibilities depending on how they are experienced.
The ruins of Selinunte represent a space where time has transformed forms without erasing their values. The temples of Magna Graecia, though immersed in silence and solitude, continue to bear witness to a vital presence, charged with memory, spirituality, and human experience.
Through photography, I sought to transport this place into a suspended dimension, beyond the linearity of time, giving voice to the invisible traces of joy, pain, hope, and prayer that inhabit it. Time changes space, but not the values it holds: SPATIUM TEMPUS was born from this awareness.
