PROSPETTIVE nasce da una condizione che sentivo profondamente mia: l’attesa. Un tempo sospeso in cui i progetti, i sogni e le speranze sembravano l’unico carburante possibile per andare avanti, nonostante la mancanza di certezze, di opportunità e di risposte concrete.

Ho fotografato giovani ragazzi in luoghi marginali e consumati dal tempo. Spazi che non offrono protezione né direzione, ma che diventano scenari di una tensione interiore condivisa. Nel momento in cui il corpo si rimette in movimento, l’attesa si trasforma in scelta. Attraversare un ponte significa accettare l’incertezza, avanzare senza sapere cosa ci aspetta dall’altra parte. Portare con sé i propri sogni – fragili, ingombranti, necessari – è un atto di fiducia più che una promessa di successo.

Ho scelto il bianco e nero per sottrarre le immagini a un tempo preciso e renderle più vicine a uno stato mentale. PROSPETTIVE non racconta un traguardo, ma una direzione. È il tentativo di dare forma a quell’energia silenziosa che, negli anni della gioviunezza, mi impediva di arrendermi e mi spingeva a credere che il futuro, anche quando non è visibile, esista comunque come possibilità.

Project Statement

PROSPETTIVE was born from a condition that felt deeply mine: waiting. A suspended time in which projects, dreams, and hopes seemed the only possible fuel to move forward, despite the lack of certainties, opportunities, and concrete answers.

I photographed young people in marginalized and time-worn places. Spaces that offer neither protection nor direction, but become settings of shared internal tension. The moment the body begins to move again, waiting turns into choice. Crossing a bridge means accepting uncertainty, moving forward without knowing what awaits us on the other side. Carrying your dreams—fragile, cumbersome, necessary—with you is an act of faith rather than a promise of success.

I chose black and white to remove the images from a specific time and bring them closer to a state of mind. PROSPETTIVE doesn't tell the story of a finish line, but of a direction. It is an attempt to give form to that silent energy that, in my youth, kept me from giving up and pushed me to believe that the future, even when it is not visible, still exists as a possibility.
