INSTRUMENTA
The hand is one of the first instruments through which human existence encounters the world.
It touches, grasps, protects, pushes away, creates and transforms. Through its gestures, the body establishes a relationship with what surrounds it, but also reveals what lies within.
In Instrumenta, the hand becomes a visible expression of human experience. Detached from ordinary context, gestures acquire a different meaning: they become signs of tension, vulnerability, desire, resistance, intimacy and uncertainty. The hand does not simply perform an action; it makes a condition of existence perceptible.
The works explore the space between intention and experience, where the desire to reach, hold or cross a boundary encounters the limits of the body and of human possibility. The hand therefore becomes a threshold: an instrument through which existence acts upon the world, while simultaneously revealing its own fragility.
Instrumenta does not seek to define the human condition, but to observe how it manifests itself through gesture.
