Un bicchiere, in sé, è un oggetto neutro, privo di significato. È solo nel momento in cui un fluido si deposita al suo interno che il contenitore si attiva, assumendo identità attraverso il colore, la densità e la temperatura della materia che accoglie.
Allo stesso modo, l’esistenza umana può essere intesa come una struttura in attesa: una forma trasparente che acquista senso solo nel momento in cui viene attraversata dall’esperienza vitale.
Le immagini di Humorum Vitalium nascono dall’incontro tra la sensibilità dell’artista e una realtà oggettiva osservata e fotografata. Il fluido, elemento reale e transitorio, viene isolato e sospeso nel tempo dall’atto fotografico, trasformandosi in simbolo.
Il progetto riflette sul rapporto tra contenitore e contenuto, tra forma e vita, proponendo una metafora visiva dell’esistenza come spazio di accoglienza e trasformazione. I fluidi vitali diventano così tracce visibili di un’energia che dà significato, calore e presenza alla materia inerte.
project statement
A glass, in itself, is a neutral object, devoid of meaning. It is only when a fluid settles within it that the container becomes activated, acquiring identity through the colour, density, and temperature of the substance it holds.
In a similar way, human existence can be understood as a structure in a state of waiting: a transparent form that gains significance only when it is traversed by vital experience.
The images in Humorum Vitalium arise from the encounter between the artist’s sensibility and an objectively observed and photographed reality. The fluid, a real and transient element, is isolated and suspended in time through the photographic act, becoming a symbolic presence.
The project reflects on the relationship between container and content, form and life, proposing a visual metaphor of existence as a space of reception and transformation. The vital fluids thus become visible traces of an energy that gives meaning, warmth, and presence to inert matter.
