Dichiarazione di progetto
La fortezza dello spirito è, per me, la vera essenza dell’umanità. Credo che lo spirito sia ciò che anima la materia e dia senso al rapporto che abbiamo con essa. È lo spirito che dà vita ai nostri sentimenti, che ci fa provare emozioni e ci rende pienamente umani.
In questo progetto ho scelto di deformare volutamente la materia per mettere in evidenza la compattezza dello spirito: non è la forma a definirci, ma ciò che ci abita interiormente. La deformazione diventa strumento espressivo, un modo per mostrare che la forza e la profondità dello spirito non hanno bisogno di perfezione esteriore.
Attraverso FORTITUDO SPIRITUS, voglio invitare chi osserva a riflettere sul vero significato dell’umanità: non sulla forma, ma sulla capacità di sentire, resistere e vivere attraverso la propria interiorità. La mia intenzione è rendere visibile l’invisibile, dare forma a ciò che è essenzialmente spirituale e ricordare che ciò che ci rende umani risiede nella forza del nostro spirito.
Project statement
The fortress of the spirit is, for me, the true essence of humanity. I believe that the spirit is what animates matter and gives meaning to our relationship with it. It is the spirit that brings our feelings to life, that allows us to experience emotions, and that makes us fully human.
In this project, I deliberately deformed matter to highlight the compactness of the spirit: it is not form that defines us, but what resides within. The deformation becomes an expressive tool, a way to show that the strength and depth of the spirit do not require external perfection.
Through FORTITUDO SPIRITUS, I aim to invite viewers to reflect on the true meaning of humanity: not on form, but on the capacity to feel, endure, and live through one’s inner life. My intention is to make the invisible visible, to give shape to what is essentially spiritual, and to remind that what makes us human resides in the strength of our spirit.
