Femina Femina explores the plurality that exists beyond any fixed idea of the feminine. The figures do not represent models, categories, or definitions of womanhood. Each reveals a different possibility of being, allowing strength and vulnerability, sensuality and introspection, exposure and withdrawal to coexist without resolving into a single identity.
The feminine emerges as a complex territory of personalities, tensions, contradictions, and transformations. What appears on the surface is never sufficient to contain the entirety of the individual. Each image therefore becomes a fragment of a reality that remains larger than any representation of it.
Through the transformation of the photographic image, individual features are altered, fragmented, or partially dissolved. This process does not erase identity in order to reach a universal feminine principle; rather, it opens the image to the multiplicity that every individual may contain.
Femina Femina does not seek to define femininity. It moves beyond its visible image to explore an unpredictable universe of characters and possibilities, recognising complexity itself as one of the ways through which human Existence manifests itself.
