DISSOLUTIO
Dissolutio emerges from my ongoing
investigation into Existence.
The project focuses on the moment
in which matter progressively loses its form and undergoes a
transformation: the last breath of matter before form ceases to be what
it was.
Within this process, light assumes
an active role. It does not simply illuminate form, but surrounds it, passes
through it, and alters its substance, carrying matter towards another
condition. The boundaries between light, shadow, and form progressively become
unstable, until they dissolve.
At the centre remains the face, and
above all the gaze: the last trace of the individual before complete
transformation.
Dissolutio does not investigate what
comes after.
It stops at the threshold, at the precise moment when matter is becoming something else.
