COGITO
There are moments when Existence becomes a confrontation with oneself.
Before action, before language, before certainty, there is a moment in which the noise of the world falls silent and consciousness turns inward. In this suspension, the individual encounters a space that cannot be avoided: the self.
Cogito explores this condition of introspection.
The figures inhabit moments of withdrawal in which thought becomes an inner confrontation. Gestures, postures, and silences reveal the tension of a consciousness questioning itself, suspended between doubt, awareness, and the need to understand.
This confrontation does not necessarily lead to answers. It can become conflict, uncertainty, or a silent examination of one's own existence. The individual is simultaneously the one who questions and the one being questioned.
The images preserve this unresolved tension. Photography does not attempt to represent thought itself, but makes perceptible the moment in which the individual withdraws from the external world and turns toward their own consciousness.
In Cogito, introspection becomes a manifestation of Existence: the silent and sometimes conflicting encounter of the individual with the self.
