I vetri e le mura di una antica cattedrale. Possiamo solo immaginare quali postessero essere i colori, i disegni e la luce di quelle bellissime e ormai perdute vetrate gotiche. Ma nell'inevitabile ciclo della trasformazione i fasti dell'antica cattedrale possono idealmente rivivere nella luce di un vetro rigenerato. Mi piace pensare che qualche atomo di quella antica vetrata sia presente oggi in un nuovo manufatto, possibilmente dando vita ad una moderna forma d'arte.
project statement
The glass and walls of an ancient cathedral. We can only imagine what the colors, designs, and light of those beautiful, now lost, Gothic windows might have been. But in the inevitable cycle of transformation, the splendor of the ancient cathedral can ideally be revived in the light of regenerated glass. I like to think that some atom of that ancient stained glass is present today in a new artifact, possibly giving rise to a modern art form.
