Dichiarazione di progetto
La passione è una forza silenziosa, un fuoco che non esplode ma arde lentamente sotto la superficie della pelle. Non è gesto, non è azione: è ascolto profondo di ciò che vibra dentro il corpo prima ancora di diventare desiderio. Vivere la passione può rappresentare un sogno per molti. Per questo motivo ho utilizzato le stesse immagini del progetto Sogni.
Ma a diffrenza del sogno, in questo progetto il corpo è luogo del sentire. Disteso, abbandonato, raccolto su se stesso, emerge da uno spazio oscuro e indefinito come da una dimensione interiore. Le posture non cercano lo sguardo dell’altro, ma raccontano un’esperienza intima, privata. Le mani che sfiorano il petto e il collo non possiedono: cercano un contatto, un riconoscimento. La passione si manifesta come presenza intensa, non come dominio.
I volti reclinati, gli occhi chiusi o socchiusi suggeriscono una condizione di sospensione. La passione non guarda fuori, ma si consuma dentro. È un abbandono consapevole, fragile, in cui la luce che illumina può già iniziare a offuscare. In questa soglia emotiva convivono fiducia e smarrimento.
La materia dell’immagine è segnata, graffiata, instabile. Le superfici consumate raccontano una passione che non è istante, ma processo: qualcosa che lascia tracce, che si stratifica nel tempo. Come il sentimento che rappresenta, anche la fotografia si espone al rischio dell’eccesso, dell’erosione, della perdita di equilibrio.
Passione è il punto di passaggio tra slancio e caduta.
Una forza vitale che dà forma alle aspirazioni più profonde, ma che porta con sé la possibilità della deriva. È un rischio necessario, che l’artista accetta consapevolmente: perché ogni atto creativo nasce da questa tensione, da questo fuoco che illumina la notte dell’umanità, sapendo che può anche bruciare.
Project Statement
Passion is a silent force, a fire that doesn't explode but burns slowly beneath the surface of the skin. It's not a gesture, it's not an action: it's a deep listening to what vibrates within the body before it even becomes desire. Experiencing passion can be a dream for many. For this reason, I used the same images as the Dreams project.
But unlike dreams, in this project the body is a place of feeling. Stretched out, abandoned, collected within itself, it emerges from a dark and undefined space as if from an interior dimension. The postures don't seek the gaze of the other, but rather recount an intimate, private experience. The hands that brush the chest and neck don't possess: they seek contact, recognition. Passion manifests itself as an intense presence, not as domination.
The reclining faces, the closed or half-closed eyes suggest a state of suspension. Passion doesn't look outward, but is consumed within. It is a conscious, fragile abandonment, in which the light that illuminates can already begin to dim. In this emotional threshold, trust and bewilderment coexist.
The material of the image is marked, scratched, unstable. The worn surfaces speak of a passion that is not a moment, but a process: something that leaves traces, that stratifies over time. Like the feeling it represents, photography is also exposed to the risk of excess, erosion, loss of balance.
Passion is the point of transition between momentum and fall.
A vital force that gives shape to the deepest aspirations, but which brings with it the possibility of drifting. It is a necessary risk, one that the artist consciously accepts: because every creative act is born from this tension, from this fire that illuminates the darkness of humanity, knowing that it can also burn.
