La Dimensione Surreale è uno spazio mentale e simbolico in cui tempo, identità e memoria si sovrappongono e si dissolvono. Le immagini costruiscono una realtà stratificata, fatta di corpi frammentati, volti riflessi, oggetti simbolici e citazioni iconografiche, in cui l’essere umano appare sospeso tra ciò che è e ciò che desidera essere.
Il tempo, evocato da orologi e superfici trasparenti, perde la sua linearità e diventa materia fluida, mentre il corpo si trasforma in luogo di proiezione delle tensioni interiori: maschere, cornici e veli alludono ai ruoli imposti e alle identità costruite. La figura umana assume una valenza allegorica, rivelando la fragilità e la contraddizione dell’esistenza contemporanea.
Attraverso sovrapposizioni, alterazioni cromatiche e interferenze visive, il progetto indaga il confine tra reale e immaginario, mettendo in scena un universo inquieto e teatrale. Il surreale diventa così non evasione, ma strumento critico: una lente attraverso cui osservare l’inquietudine dell’uomo moderno, prigioniero di convenzioni e al tempo stesso spinto da pulsioni profonde e inconfessabili.
Project Statement
The Surreal Dimension is a mental and symbolic space in which time, identity, and memory overlap and dissolve. The images construct a layered reality, made of fragmented bodies, reflected faces, symbolic objects, and iconographic references, in which the human being appears suspended between what is and what they desire to be.
Time, evoked by clocks and transparent surfaces, loses its linearity and becomes fluid, while the body transforms into a place for the projection of internal tensions: masks, frames, and veils allude to imposed roles and constructed identities. The human figure takes on an allegorical value, revealing the fragility and contradiction of contemporary existence.
Through superimpositions, chromatic alterations, and visual interferences, the project explores the boundary between reality and imagination, staging a restless and theatrical universe. The surreal thus becomes not an escape, but a critical tool: a lens through which to observe the restlessness of modern man, prisoner of conventions and at the same time driven by profound and unspeakable impulses.
